San Francisco, Tokyo, Singapore, Sri Lanka
First trip to Asia this year. It was simply unbelievable. We have found a new love for sure. Before we left the States we stopped in Cali to admire the redwoods. Gorgeous!! Our first leg to Asia was an overnight stay in Tokyo. First impressions....very clean! I walked around for almost 30 minutes just trying to find a trash can.
Second layover was in Singapore. This was the most interesting and entertaining airport we have ever been in. A restroom that was so clean that it even had a rating system as you walked out in order to continue to make sure they keep their high standards.
Last stop was Colombo Sri Lanka. This is a small island located right below India. It's about the size of New Jersey with a population of 25 million. People are everywhere. There are some amazing beaches along with food that we have never seen. Animals everywhere...from monkeys, mongoose, snakes and elephants. Lots of elephants. In fact they say they have the most in Asia. We went to an elephant orphanage where they care for elephants that can no longer live in the wild.
